Default Splutter in 2nd gear

Iv got a quite modded 2003 wrx, usual stuff, turbo, injectors, exhaust, fuel pump etc etc!

Anyway had my car mapped off duncan, and i love it!

only problem with my car is this wierd jerky splutter thing it some times does, only happens in 2nd gear when i plant the pedal! ie, out of a corner with an evo on my bumper!

Iv got a code reader which i will have a look at tomorro! But has any1 experienced this sort of thing before?

Thanks, michael

My 05 wrx had that exact issue and it was fixed when I got it remapped again, so I'd say it's something to do with the ECU/map.

MY99 had some emission thing and under certain conditions, think you had to be sat in 2nd gear a few seconds then plant it, and at WOT in 2nd gear cut boost to 50%.

Only happened in 2nd Gear. Not sure if this is same thing but sounds similar.

I reset my ECU and it stopped doing it but it was searchable on SN as an issue.

Fuel surge IMO.

Low-ish fuel levels coming off a roundabout ?

More fuel in the tank - it is a common problem on subarus due to the tank design.

or fit a fuel surge tank and external pump

or fit a spec c baffled pump pick up.

or make sure that the fuel pick up in the tank is sitting on the bottom of the tank - it will still suffer from surge at low levels but it will make it better.
