Was taking my turbo apart in a specialized garage today as the shaft had a little play and the guy who was taking the turbo apart had accidentally dropped this part below on the concrete floor from around 1 meter height. He acted like it was nothing and i didn't know any better. Before the drop they told me that everything was fine and all it needed was a repair kit.





They put the turbo back together as their rebuild price was too dear for me and at the reception before paying for the diagnostics i check the turbo and instead of the shaft play my blades barely spin and make a screeching sound instead, the guy at the reception told me its because they put it together to be rebuilt so he guesses they didnt put back worn out parts or didnt lube it properly.

So could this drop have done any damage ?
