Downpipe question , replacing a rotton one
Hi guys
My downpipe split where it meets the bracket for the centre section so I took it to a garage to weld and the job he done is abysmal , he put a sleeve inside to weld it and it rattles like a **** when the car warms up ,sounds worse than before.
My question is I have a 97 v4 wrx sti with a single cat on the down pipe and a straight through centre section to the back box I was wondering if I was to get a decat downpipe so giving me a catless straight through exhaust would I need to get her mapped? I was not planning on getting her mapped until I was ready to do work to the car when I have money available in a few months so if its to risky running it withough a map would I be better off getting a down pipe with a cat like this one from scooby world for an extra £100
