if you had three grand to spend...
Hi all. It looks like I may soon have around 3 grand to spend on some mods for my 99 sti wagon.
The car has had a rebuilt motor before I bought it so engine is all good, running 300 bhp when rolling roaded with no issues.question is where to spend the money?? I was thinking suspension I.e.coilovers and braces etc. Or bodywork I.e. arches wheels and coilies or engine? I am fairly happy with 300 out of the tdo4 (I think) as rolling road was fine so didnt need any mapping tweaks.
So what would you do??

If the suspension is the original stuff and feeling a little tired, without going to coilovers, you could do a lot worse than going for KYB AGX adjustable suspension all round and Eibach springs.
As RedScoob says, if you are on the old 4 pots then I don't envy you one little bit! Ksport do good kits that are a noticeable step up from the OE stuff, but without having to go quite the ay up to Ap Racing etc. Go to Godspeed's website to get an idea of various custom upgrade options. Wheel size affects your options heavily, with 18" min being the route for compatitibility with the mast majority of custom routes if memory serves

the arches look epic on a wagon bud, but you would need to hack away origional ones plus a new set of alloys to fill them out. rota grid drifts would look awsome. check this thread for how they look : https://www.scoobynet.com/783684-bod...rom-abw-7.html

Have to disagree on that one myself. Properly smoothed in 22b-style yes, visible shut lines and bolt holes, really? .
Just to add something else, sprinkle lots of Whiteline handling goodness on her too for good measure.

Its not that I dont like anything just wanted opinions.
I have seen the abw arches but imo they look a little fat?!? If that makes sense?I like the look of karlton flares but not available for mine also the s13 universal style maybe??
I dont track the car so is spending 3 grand on brakes viable? The 4 pots were refurbed with godspeed bits already.
I like the idea of a newage but the wagon suits me fine.plus I have no idea what it would be worth if I was to sell?

In answer to earlier post, I thought coilovers as I quite like the thought of a low wagon with nice fitting wheels.at the moment I have white ozs to contrast the blue/grey paint

check which Turbo you have as if you have a td04 then that would be the first thing on my shopping list then injectors, FPR, intercooler and ECU. you should be able to get 350+ for half your budget if you spend wisely. spend the rest on handling mods.
decent shocks, springs, roll, bars, ALK, Roll centre adjustment and proper alignment will transform how it drives
