Default Top end power loss

Hi guys. I have an 03 sti and it seems to lose power on the top end, like hitting a brick wall at 6000 rpm. I've checked all pipe work and connections to turbo, intercoolers and coil packs and they are ok. I'm going to change plugs next and the fuel pump as I want to upgrade and remap later.
Which fuel pump for about 400 hp and if this doesn't cure problem any pointers as to what to do next.
Thanks

Have you thought about injectors as well for that sort of power?

Personally i'd go for the RCM fuel pump.

Fuel pump is a good shout. May not be holding enough pressure at the top end

This is where a dyno comes into its own.
We'd fit a fuel pressure gauge and monitor it through a power run. We can check and log everything as it happens and come to a quick conclusion.
You really don't want to spend too much time running at high rpm if it's running weak, and a dyno run is quick and completely under control.
If you have a good operator near you, make use of it, and fix what needs fixing, rather than casting around in the hope of a result.

Thanks for all the replys. The car has the PPP fitted, apart from a Pro R panel filter it is standard PPP.
