Hi iv been advised to run in my 2 ltr forged rebuild on actuated boost but im unsure what bar boost this is .i intended to run in on my low boost map (0.8 bar) with the standard my 97 UK turbo tdo4 and 380's .once id done 1k mls then fit the fpr, 550's,ported headers, upipe and td05 then get a map tweek .
im currently running mafles esl (just in case that makes a difference)
Thanks in advance

Cheers jay
i don't intend on taking it over 4k revs until it's mapped anyways .
Would the map hold the max boost if i fitted the headers upipe and tdo5 (whilst running in) as it would be easier to fit those before the re map (and i wouldn't have to spend a fortune on zorst gaskets) then ,once it's run in ,i could fit the fpr and 550's and have it remapped
thanks again clive

Probably best getting it checked and a running in map done, or at least fueling checked and very low boost, your engine builder will be able to advise, some folk swear by a few hundred miles then full boost which is meant to be best for bedding rings in.

its a self build cdb bud mahle 2618 pistons ,BC rods, acl's,ARP's ect..
id been advised to keep it on actuated boost for at least 1k mls by my engineer and supplier of the pistons but, was unsure what bar that was hence the op.
just hoped i could have got away with fitting everything bar the fpr and injectors (as i know ill defo need a map tweek for those) and drive it pretty much off boost for the first 500 mls then oil and filter change and then stick with the low boost map for another 500 mls .remaps and rr sesions arn't cheap and neithers a re build and the mrs is starting to get the hump
but if it goes bang i know it could be a lot more expensive than a £200 remap
i think ill ask simon (jgm)as he'll be doing the mapping at attowes anyways thanks again for your imput jay

All you do is bypass the boost solenoid.
Run a small length of vac line from the nipple on the compressor housing to the actuator, job done until run in period and mapping time comes
