As title really chaps. What are the effects of a blow up pipe.

I know mine has blown (or at least that's what it sounds like)

Rattling raspy sound from underneath the turbo. An the turbo isn't spooling now till 4.5-5k on the revs up the box?

Usually promenant from cold, an heard from about 2k on the down revs.

Just wondered. "Would it be a noticible symptom" the loss of spool etc?

Am I causing the engine harm ?

It's just I'm driving to centre parcs tomorrow. Not driving fast at all, just motorway cruising.

I'm getting a Harvey smith up pipe fitted when I get back, just wanted to hear people's experience

lower boost, late spool and a blowing noise. it wont do it any harm. drove mine like this for ages.
