Default turbo exhaust housing cracks-can they be mended?

notice quite a few vf series turbos with cracks in the exhaust housing

1-is it a problem

2-can they be fixed

usually the cracks are not a problem, but you can buy a replacement hotside from ebay they are made by kingawa. they are supposed to be pretty good by all reports.

will any exhaust housing be ok as i have a good td04 housing here or am i being stoopid in thinking that?

no they are different sizes depending on what vf it is will depend on housing

i just did my vf 41 ad thats a p18 housing which is the same as a few others!

it says it cannot be used with roller bearing turbos and i want it for a vf30 which im sure is a roller bearing turbo

The VF35 i sold had cracks in hot side, Still boosted to 1.5 bar and made 350hp
