Default Cold Running Missfire ? Hesitation ?

Had my imperza sti 2004 for a few months now and it never runs very well when it cold ....... starts up fine and will tick over fine no problem but when you take it up the road its like misfiring almost like its a two stroke !!! and needs revving to clear it, pulling out of a junction is a nighmare !!!! after a few mins driving tho its fine ........ Had it service with new plugs so i know it isnt that the car is standard really as far as i know k@n panel filter and forge dump valve .........................Any ideas Anybody ???

Leak down test would be my advice. If the engine seems healthy after a basic test like this then start looking for possible faults.

I'd fit a std dump valve too.

Not sounding to good then i have to get that checked out .....
yea the dump valve seem a bit of a pain when driving it hard and changing gear ...seem to rev up on gear change so was already thinking of seeing if i could get a original standard one and put that back on ...... not to sure if i will be able to get hold of one tho so will have a look around ...... Thanks
