Twinscroll Turbo on a non AVCS Engine
Hi all
Who runs a Twinscroll Turbo like VF36,37,LM400,Scoobylinic... etc...
on a non AVCS engine?
How good is spool up compared to an AVCS engine? Good too or not comparable at all?
I ask because im looking for a way not to swap my engine to a GDB engine to get round the harness wiring, dashboard removal etc.
If i could be happy with a GC8 engine ( after it blows anyday i will use GDB block ) that would be great.
The car has to drive on the road not spend the whole summer in the garage for big projects like full GDB conversion....
regards!

You'll be fine buddy, A friend of mine , Woody , on here has a twin scroll setup on his v3 sti , stock engine , vf37 making 350/350... it's very lively setup and gives you enormous pleasure when driving... AVCS heads will make the smoother power delivery , but twin scroll kicks in soon enough , so there's nothing like 20G on a 2ltr if you know what i mean... Twin scroll setup on a classic makes a very fast road car...Hope that helps...
