Default HKS Sqqv

I have the HKS dump valve and its starting to get on my nerves a bit to loud. Which method is best for the car, would prefer one which dumped at high boost. Any suggestions?

I was hoping u was running a top mount as I have a forge & turbosmart for my ver 5 and now looking for a hks but there top mount fitment so need all the fittings

As for ur problem surely the only thing u could do is fit a slightly stronger spring although I don't think u can ajust the hks the same way u can the turbosmarts and forges but I may be wrong

I took my old SSQV apart on the old turbo 2000 as it wasn't seating so I stretched the spring a bit, my one came apart, little fiddly and the bolts are quit soft. If I remember correctly there is a bit of room to fit some washers in there but will be a bit hit and miss with what psi it will open at. I must add I wasn't bothered about breaking my SSQV hence me taking it apart, it came with the car so was going to get changed eventually anyway as I wasn't keen on the noise. I wanted to see if it would solve my stalling problem which it did once the spring was stretched a bit there was no leak.

Get yourself a nice forge recirc that's what I run now on the hawkeye, red spring and 3 spacers

Certainly worth it, I'm glad I went for a recirc valve even this you can hear through the induction system.

I am fairly close to forge so when passing I went in and got it direct along with the red spring and washers (didn't charge me for the extra spring or washers)

I then had it setup by Bob Rawle when up at his for mapping
