Default samco sport intake pipe-should I be able to squish it with ease or not

just bought one of these for my blobeye and although it has the metal rings in the openings which make it really strong the middle bit of the pipe squashes really easy.is this normal or have I bought a bodge it and scarper special

i thought the whole idea of these upgraded pipes was that they hold their shape under pressure

Yes and no. It smooths out the flow as the o/e one is corregated. Depends also why its being fitted. I upgaded to one without any breather pipe inlets on it. I could have just bunged the holes up. But a much nicer/better job with a hose designed for the job

was just expecting a bit more stiffness really

Unless you're running mega boost then it'll not collapse, there is no pressure in that pipe only the turbo sucking air through it.

as above and if it did collapse its likely its the filter rather than pipe. If the turbo cant suck enough air through the filter it will then start to collapse the pipe
