Default Pulley Swap

Hey everyone, I'm about to swap my alternator and crank pulley for light weight CDF Racing ones - any tips on how best to get the old nuts loose. I've tried leaving it in gear but the cranks still spins so no joy there getting it loose

Cheers

Jon

Put a breaker bar on the crank then wedge it on the ground pointing to the kerbside. Give the starter a quick flick and that will crack the bolt.
Or get 2 10mm bolts about 50/60mm long, slide them into the holes on the crank pulley and then stick a tyre lever or similar between them to lock the crank up. Once its locked undo the bolt

Impact gun is fine if you want to make the job twice as long removing the rad and fans and lots of other parts.

Fifth with handbrake still on for crank. You will need to use windy gun on alternator, if you dont have one you can easy take it off to garage etc.

not wih the engine in the car. Too much other stuff to remove. And certainly not a pikey job using two bolts and a lever. Thats basicaly what a bought crank locking tool is
