Parts to go with front mount
Afternoon gents!
I am collecting a japspeed front mount from a guy on Saturday who bought it on a group buy but doesn't need it anymore and has never fitted it.
What I'm wanting to know is what else do I need to fit it ie. recirculating/dump valve/adapter, longer hoses, etc, etc.....
Any help will be gratefully received!!!
Adam

It's a 2005 wrx blob (yes I should have definitely started with an Sti but too far down the road now)....
Along with numerous other bits it was running cold air feed induction, sc36 turbo, pink injectors, uprated fuel pump, Sti top mount......was running 350bhp.
I'm now fitting a front mount and an Sti inlet manifold.....yes I know I can't run more than 350 ATM because of the conrods and the gearbox, I know the top mount is good for 400 and I'm not actually increasing power......just want to know what else I need to get so I can plumb in my front mount?
Thanks!!

I will have the pipe work for the front mount......but obviously the recirculating valve fits onto the top mount at the moment which I'm guessing won't fit onto the front mount....and then I'm thinking the pipe work that currently fits onto the recirculating valve won't reach the new position? (Wherever that maybe!!) lol

You'll need an adaptor for the recirc, and some silicone hose.
The only person I knew that sold adaptors to fit the OEM recirc was Harvey.
Try using it, you'll find stuff like this: http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=44812

Best thing to do is get the front mount and look at what is in the box. If you are keeping the MAF sensor then don't go for a VTA or twin port as the fuelling will be F'ed.

Also worth using the search on here, you'd have found this thread;

It's aimed at classics, but, a lot of the info is relevant to newage cars.

You will need an adapter for whichever dump valve you want to fit and a short piece of hose to fit it. You will also need a need induction kit as your cold air feed will be in the way of the FMIC pipework. Most important of all you will need a remap to make the most of your mods.

I have a ecutek map ATM but going for a map tweak as soon as everything is fitted, it's a weekend toy so won't be driven until map time. Thanks for the help! I will see what I need but anyone got any idea where to get an adapter plate seen as the only supplier is unfortunately no longer with us?

Harvey's widow Dawn is selling all the parts in his old garage and has listed flange adapters. Have a look in 'car parts for sale' in the traders section as her email address is there. Think she is inundated with requests at the moment as I have sent a few email but not heard anything back.
Also worth putting a post in the wanted section
