Read that you can convert a uk car to twinscroll. Anybody know how this is done and a rough price?

have you drove both types, twin scroll is linear and single can kick your back out the of the back window, depends what your after, off the top of my head and this could be wrong after a drink, you need a new sump and pick up pipe, then equal headers + turbo. I did once look at this about 2 yr ago but decided against losing the kick in the back

Aren't all newage fitted with the twin scroll sump as standard? Mine has a twin scroll sump and it's an 04 Sti.
If so then as above it'd be heads, up pipe, turbo, downpipe and then a remap.

No, The 2.5 sump is the same as the twinscroll but the 2.0L is different, Yours must have been changed by the previous owner..

I did this to my UK 04 blob sti a few years back. Well David at Api did it for me. Basically all the things mentioned already, and I also changed the exhaust system, air intake and had it mapped. As for cost, I`m sure if you pm David, he`ll work out a price for you.

The twin scroll works best on cars that have twin scroll cams which are different to regular cams. they are designed to work with the turbo and exhaust to give the sensation that all twin scroll owners love,

It will still be good, but will never be as good as 'the real thing '

Probably looking at around £1000 - £1500 for all the parts I reckon.

That's a great price but agree with about the cams
