Default What's next? 1999 Turbo 2000

Hi all, my 1999 Turbo 2000 is standard barring a H&S centre pipe and back box. Have updated brakes too.

What's next on the tuning? Not after massive changes but want changes that will make the car better engine wise.

Thanks

Consider an uprated air filter, then get a remap.

How about some chassis modifications instead of engine?

front and rear ARB's, Eibach pro kit/STI springs, Polybushes, roll centre adjustment kit and a decent geo setup? presuming you have good tyres on it already too..

Failing that, sports cat/de cat, fuel pump, panel filter and a remap. wouldn't bother with an induction kit personally..

I personally uprated the chassis on mine first before touching the engine.

I agree, personally, and that's what I want to do with mine - extra power will be much more beneficial if you have a good, solid foundation: a chassis that is properly set up for it.

But, if the OP wants to go power first, a new panel filter and remap is probably the first port of call. An induction kit is a Marmite choice really, and will require a remap anyway.
