passanger window

hi ther just got my self a 99 wagon.but the passanger side window will not open on both switches.any help thanks.

Mine is the same: it sometimes won't open on the driver's side switch, but operating the passenger side switch , then back up, it will now work perfectly .
Can't help as to why.....98 UK car.
