Default exhaust question for exhaust know-it-all's

1st off my car is a blob wrx.

am i right in thinking that the exhaust system from the turbo back is a 4 piece system consisting of........

-downpipe that has a cat

-second cat pipe that bolts to the center section and the downpipe

-center section

-back box

my wondering this is i want to buy this

http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...oducts_id=1972

and one of these

http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...oducts_id=2057

my car is fitted with a miltek downpipe (de-cat) and it did have a sports cat after that bolted to a center pipe then backbox but i removed it,if i buy the after burner center pipe and backbox would i then need to buy a pipe to fit the center pipe to the downpipe or is the afterburner center pipe a complete length long enough from backbox to the downpipe?

my blob sti system is in 3 pieces decat downpipe, middle section and back box.

you may have issues trying to build an exhaust from different bits fitting wise.

your best option is to buy a turbo back system to ensure it fits.

if your 2pce cat pipe has now been replaced with a single de-cat pipe then it will fit no issues

Confusing.
It's a 3 piece system, downpipe, centre and back box.
If you have a milltek downpipe fitted then I'd replace centre and back box with milltek items as if you leave milltek downpipe on and fit other pipes after it you'll have length issues as millteks are funny sizes to mate up. I'm sure the downpipe is not as long as normal ones.

What uppipe have you got fitted?

Yep resonator https://www.scoobynet.com/car-parts-...st-system.html

Best to mate up with milltek items if your keeping downpipe.

Replace uppipe also with decat presuming you have wrx one fitted.

Oh and a friendly mot at the ready.
