Default ABS Help needed WRX STI UK Blobeye

Hi Guys,

Having a few issues with my ABS light and wondered if anyone could help.
My ABS light was on when I purchased the car and my ABS does not work.

i have had the ABS sensors checked and they work fine, Also the oil level is fine, It has a Big break conversion on the front.

I have plugged a few fault testers into the car but they never recognise the car.

Any ideas on what the look for.

Cheers Dex

Hi dex, I wouldn't have thought the big brake conversion would have caused the abs light to come on, what years your car ?. Have you had the light reset and it comes back on ? First thing to check if I knew all the sensors were ok would be the abs rings for damage/missing teeth and keep your eyes out for damage around the sensors/hubs etc

Hi Guys,
thanks for the responses!
Its in a garage right now, They have said none of there computers will connect to my car, Its Had the Alan Jeffries Simtek treatment so I wonder if thats why they cant connect to the car. 03 Model Garage say sensors are fine, Got an auto electrician coming Wed but still not sure why they can connect computer so diagnose the fault.

Any ideas guys

Hi Guys,

If it were a fuse then surley my ABS sensors would not work or show
current through them ??

Not a Scooby garage no, But the guy has done other STI and Subaru cars.
Would it not connect due to the Simtek ECU.

its got my head done in now and its been in the garage for a week already.

Thanks again boys
