Major idle issue urgent help required
Basicly I installed my Greddy gauges, , before I started I drove the car to a friends quick for 5 min and then bk again.. Left it to cool down and then start work on it ( no issues driving the car or idle issues there )
The boost gauge was previously fitted so all I had to do was fit the oil temp and oil pressure from scratch.
So installed everything finished up and fired up the car now the first time I started her ( 99 type r ) revs went straight up to 3.5k then down to 2k them back 3.5 then bk to 2 and so on.. So switched of the car left it 5 min started her again now from start up the revs go up and just keep going !!!! Wtf help please
So to clarify now when I start the car the needle on the rev counter just keeps increasing I have fired her up 3 times now and once it gets to 4500 / 5000 rpm I just shut her off b4 any damage happens
Any ideas .... Thanks in advance

Check the throttle cable is on correctly. Particarly that the outer cable is in the adjuster properly. All hoses re attached and secure

I removed the tmic the get to the Allan key plug on cylinder no3 also removed the breather pipe for crank to get better access.. Undone bolt on knock sensor ( aftermarket ) again for better access..
Then oil pressure I removed the alternator removed oe sender have added a oil pressure adapter with t peice so I have kept both the oe sensor and have added aftermarket sensors, the kit had a mounting bracket included which I have mounted under the coil pack.
The electrics I didn't do as I'm not elec minded but the boot gauge was already in place so the power source is take from same place as the boost was, which I believe to be on or near harness of stereo.... The gauges seem to be working boost and pressure ok, obviously I have tested temp yet as I'm unable to drive the car...
As i said also just cleaned the icv with no change start up car the just keeps climbing up the rev range as the car is cold once it hit 3000 rpm I just switch the ignition off..

I seem to have the same problem started when had my simtek ecu put on, the problem stops when i turn my antilag on then off which isnt ideal but im still trying to sort it months later, iv heard it could be cam position sensors, tps, icv but the car was fine before the install so in my opinion it must be the ecu :/

Work backwards is your solution I'd say
Removing until you address the problem
If it was ok before you started
Then it's a problem you have created
Take time & don't rush the job in hand
Good luck

As above. Double check everything. Take the intercooler back off and check all the pipework. Check the icv again. Maybe remove it. Also worth checking the vacuum pipe for the fuel pressure regulator just below to the left of alternator while looking from front of car
