'98 T2000 Head Gasket Thickness?!
I've second guessed myself too many times now so thought I'd best ask before I go insane!
1998 UK Turbo 2000, bought with HG 'issues' (chuffing all it's water out like a good 'un), removed inlet manif to see writing on the block "99-00" in black marker so it's likely to not be the original engine for the car. Have had the heads off and measured the gaskets at 1.42mm thickness between the bores. I'm going to be replacing the heads with some known good ones I already have.
So what thickness gaskets do I need? IIRC the pistons don't protrude from the deck at TDC, but will double check tomorrow night (should they for this model/year?).
Should add everything's standard and will remain that way so won't be looking to run more boost than originally intended.
Any advice greatly appreciated!
