So i currently need a 4 point harness, but eventually i will be getting extra points for a 6 point.

In the mean time can i use a 6 point as a 4 point by taking the crotch straps off?

you cant always disconnect the crutch strap as it generally has the buckle on............certain makes there is a way of moving the buckle onto one of the lap straps but not always easy

you could simply leave them hanging though

should have added that the crutch strap should not be load bearing as it simply there to stop you "submarining" under the belt, easy to install a couple of fixing points

I'm not worried about them hanging, eventually they will be used, but i need to get a seat first lol.

I have a set of 3'' sabelt 4 point harnesses at the moment and its possible to buy and plug in the anti-submarining belts, Just a thought to consider......

So i guess if you bought a 6 point Sabelt harness you could remove the crotch straps?!

No Sam you can't the crutch straps are attached to the buckle you're be better off purchasing a 4 point and sell it after use .

I think i'm just going to purchase a 6 point and secure the crouch straps to the lap straps for now.

Ah yeah the 4 point has slots for the crouch straps.
