Default Headers- help plz :)

Hi all, ive got a 98 type R, just purchased a vf34 twinscroll, i didnt realise it was twinscroll when i bought it. Anyway, i now need an up-pipe ( or headers and up-pipe(twinscroll)) but i cant find anyone that does them- apart from the spec C ones which ive been told wont fit. Does anyone know anywher that sells these or anyway i could get around it? Any help or advice would be much appreciated

afaik they do fit but you need a 2.5 or spec c sump and pick up pipe. this is the only way of fitting a twinscroll to a classic me thinks

get pics hosted online eg: photobucket.

Then open a new post, click on the pic icon, and post the url into it.

Vf34 will not be twinscroll as said bud, i run twinscroll setup and the standard turbo is vf37, and also the spec c headers will fit your car but you will need the complete set up as in
Headers + up pipe
Turbo
New down pipe as single scroll is different
Sump
Dipstick

So who ever you got the information off they don't fit is not correct, they do fit but as said you need the complete kit off a twinscroll car

Thanks for that pal. I bought the vf34 twinscroll thinking it was single scroll. Its gunna cost a few quid changing everything else now. So if i buy spec c headers and up pipe, the sump will just bolt on too?

Why don't you just take the turbo back from where you got it from and say that it is not a VF34? If you can't do that just flog it and buy a proper VF34

oh and have a look here for VF turbo types info https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...f34-turbo.html

Yes all just bolts over bud, I got an lm450 on mine which is a twinscroll, I personally love it and its making 450+ on v power, the vf37 twinscroll turbo that comes on the jdm's is a good quick spoolin turbo and will probably seem a vast improvement over other stock turbos, I drove a mappe jdm on standard turbo and it felt a completely different drive to my uk Sti vf35, quicker to spool and it was up an off, they not for everybody as the power delivery is different, its a much smoother linear power compared to having it all dropped in with one big wallop, just for comparison most people agree that the vf35/34 is a relatively quick spooling turbo with the right supporting mods and tweaks, my lm450 setup makes full boost at 3200ish @1.8bar, it starts spooling from as little as 1500rpm and pulls hard right through to the redline if I wanted it to, which is just as quick if not slightly quicker than stock 35's and its a much bigger turbo in comparison, so for it to be hitting mid 400's with the spool of a stock car aint to be knocked at

I know for a sump and dipstick going on here for twinscroll for £50 which IMO is a very good price, I just bought the headers an uppipe along with another downpipe as spares so I got another setup there as a spare as they are hard to come by
