Default Possibley need a new starter motor?

I've replaced the Alt & A/C belts as they were both worn, think they were slipping, but at times from cold I'm still hearing the noise of what sounds like your holding onto the key too long when turning it over to start.

The car starts find and quick its just this noise. Does it sound more starter motor than the belts being too loose still?, I think the belts are tight enough personally.

The starter motor is under the tmic isn't it?, are they hard to change? cost?

Thanks for any info and help.

have you had battery checked? the cold weather kills them.
also check you havent tightened the belts too much.

Battery was new last year, obviously it still could be that true. would it still make that noise though?

Just going to re-check the belts now, I did re-tightening them as they stretch from new, hard to know correct tension, about a cm of movement you think?

Car is kept in a garage over night, no noise then, but leaving work car is outside then I hear the noise....i.e. its colder.
