Default what equal length header?

Hi guys,

What headers do you guys recommend? I don't want to pay like 800quid for a set as they are consumable as my anti lag etc destroys headers for a past time. So I wanted a cheper set of equal length headers to ditch the annoying noise!

Any ideas?

I've only found sets in the us and au, which isn't that cheap once you add postage!

Thanks

Thanks jura. Was hoping they had something in japspeed kind of price range as I won't be too upset when I destroy them! Ridiculous money for something that I will destroy when I turn the lc and als on!

Hi there

People running Kakumei headers without the problems at high 500-600bhp,they're GT Spec replica

About the price range of the Japspeed,I wouldn't consider never on my car putting headers from Japspeed, you will not gain with those headers, you will loose bhp

We're used LC on our drag runs(we are done in excess 50-75 runs, sometimes 15 per day),plus ALS and our headers has been like new

Hi Jura,

I have japspeed headers fitted to mine at the moment and they have been on there a long while now. Longer than any of the other headers that have been fitted. Including rcm etc. And they are still perfect.

It is mapped to 517hp on an s206 turbo with a 2.1 stroker kit. And only gets used for track days, drags etc, It has potential for more power but on an open deck block it was capped there.

I didn't want expensive as none of them are designed for als/lc so will all eventually crack etc. And for the amount I drive it (weekends and race days) cheaper manifolds should be fine?

Also my car has done way more than 75 drag runs, plus nurburgring trips and all sorts of other track days with the japspeeds fitted

Hi there

I've run only Gt Spec headers on our wagon and they're been faultless.Depends on you, what will be best bet, speak to your mapper too

We are run 2.1L Open deck at 490bhp plus 25bhp NOS jet and has been faultless,we are done numerous track days and drag runs and engine has been faultless

3-bolt headers are better just due they're not cracking as 2-bolt(older design of the GT Spec/Kakumei) plus gasket not blowing on them as on 2-bolt

Has anyone used these?

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/vie...w=140613046835

I notice they are 3 bolt flanges on the uppipe, but it says it will retain the boxer rumble? I want to get rid of that specifically!

Default headers

got milltek equal length headers on mine-
fair quality and very quiet with a revolution exhaust-only downside is a fair bit of lag on my 2.0!

Right my japspeed manifold has finally given up the ghost, after 18months of sustained abuse. Really can't fault the quality or anything like that. But I don't want the boxer sound.

So again I need an equal length manifold, now I have found two -

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=190858110918&kw=190858110918

Or the other is the tomioka one? But this doesn't look truly equal length!
