hi guys iv got a 54 newage scooby, all running standard, iv just had a decat system fitted and went for remap, i was told it was only pushing 190bhp, he thinks it might be from an air leak and is overfueling, iv found it ok on fuel before, can anyone give me any ideas why? i found the power after the exhaust was fitted better, cant think of why it would come up as only 190bhp and overfueling?? *urgent* drop me a txt 07894874685

Hi,

Since you installed the decat system, did you took off the lambda sensor? Is your motor running smoothly? I mean that does it sound normal when it is running?

did the mapper not be able to tell you whats wrong?
I went to get my car mapped by duncan at racedynamix,it only made 150bhp,it just had a new turbo fitted,he checked alot of things and diagnosed it with a blocked uppipe, (the cat breaks up,in the uppipe on the wrx,s)

Indeed it was. Working nicely now though iirc

Had another the other day where the TGV's were jammed shut too. Some cars have problems that need fixing and although it seems like a bit of work sometimes, the car needs fixing else it will never shine. The uppipe cat is a prime example of something that just can degrade over time and gradually strangle the car.
