Default FLAT FOOT SHIFTING

Hi ive jst had flat foot shifting wired in, having great difficulty grasping the concept of the launch esp shifting into 2nd gear from 1st.. on paper it seems easy and straight forward. Has anybody on here had this fitted and how are they getting along with it. Any advise or even sharing your experience would be great.

Thanks

As far as I know ffs is nothing to do with launch, that's separate.
When changing gear on full throtle, keep your foot on throttle when changing when dipping clutch.

Yep thts right mate its not directly linked to launch only, grasping the concept and putting it to good use is where im struggling as the switch is not linear its either on or off and naturally u lift of the accelorator to shift gears. Do u have it wired in your car? How u finding it?

It was installed by engine tuner i seem to have no problems doin it from 3rd to 4h works fab but struggle with it in first few gears coz everythng happens so quickly. Its only operates once throttle response is more than 70% and it jst seems i loose boost whn shifting.

Your right practise makes perfect just hope my gearbox and clutch take me getting used to it lol

I have mine enabled too (with ecutek racerom), and even my wife loves it (along with launch control she adores on her own - new clutch after 10k is a must though).

Heres mine enabled on an ESL ECU, works a treat. You have to get your head around keeping the throttle buried.

Yes, the heads lifted at 2.2bar,. Have to put some stronger Cosworth studs in.

That'll do it! Were you not concerned of damaging internals by not lifting and parking? Looked like you never even flinched?

You won't damage internals with HGF unless it overheats which it won't over a quarter mile. The Oil temp didn't get above 85.

I filled it up and did a few more runs with a catch tank afterwards but it was beginnning to misfire a bit. Want to see if it will run a 10 with the heads properly nailed down.
