Default Loud exhaust ?

Hi all I took you guys advise and fitted a new crank sensor and car started first time so iv been driving it about last two days I love it to bits my only concern is the exhaust is very loud it's a 2.0 sport iv had a look under it it got one cat on and a big back box and is stainless steal I bought the car as a none runner so didn't know how loud it was whats the law on exhausts like this at the moment. I need my license for work and am relying on a car at min, so don't want police to take it off me or get any points. any info apreciated

Mines loud but never had any problems, just say you had planned on booking it into a garage if they pull you, after which case do get it checked out.

can't you just fit a standard exhaust back box? the standard back box from a turbo probably fits, and they're about 10 quid (tops)
