Default What fuel to use in a 2006 hawkeye wrx?

I'm about to pick up my new 2006 impreza wrx on wednesday from a car dealers who took it in part ex. Now they dont know much about it and also havent had to put any fuel in it since they have had it.

So what i want to know is what fuel to put in it? It has aload of reciepts with it for various things and it also has a rolling road graph with it for about 329bhp so it must have had a remap at some point but not sure it it was mapped to uk fuel or what.

Did the 2006 cars use 95-97 ron as standard or did they need 99+?

What fuel would you put in it?

What if it had been mapped for normal fuel, would putting higher fuel in damage it or will it be ok?

I thought bp ultimate was a lower Ron than the others

I personally don't even like tesco fuel , I've experienced minor issues when running timing , that I didn't experience with v power
But some like it the other way round
There are differences in fuel without a doubt. , but stick with 99 or v and all will be well

Stick with v power,I wouldn't run your car that low on juice,I fill up around a quarter left so not to suck up too much s@@t and gives me more chance of finding a shell garage.

Mine seems to fly down from half but then stay on the bottom line for ages, then go below and eventually the fuel light comes on...

If its got 329bhp , then it has got a bigger turbo too , im running V power in mine , so its possibly adviseable to run higher than standard octane levelled fuels .
