Default 3" CENTRE MID PIPE

Hi

would there be any power loss from changing back to stock 2.5" centre pipe which has the resonator.

I have a 3" centre decat pipe fitted but I think its knocking against the side as there is no clearance around the pipe.

I have all 3 CATS removed, and rear box pipework is 2.5" bore.
Headers/Up-pipe are also ported (thanks to Harvey Smith - RIP)

I just don't want to see any drop in performance.

your thoughts ?

hi, yes, had a map tweak done, to take into account the further mods, ie, the decat downpipe, ported headers etc. i think decided to keep the 3" centre pipe and going to get it on ramp to see if it can be aligned correctly, I believe it is touching the propshaft, hence the knocking sound on low speed. i am determined to get it fixed.

I would imagine changing the centre pipe will need another map tweak mate. Best find the cause of the knock an deal with that as that's a cheaper option lol

Check the centre pipe isn't knocking the heat shields mate if they touch slightly there would be an annoying knocking sound. If that's the case just bend them away from the pipe and hopefully that should be job done
