Default why would fitting vta dump valve stop pops n bangs?

Hi guys recently been runnung with no dump vavle for a bit as it sounded v nice...

I re fitted a vta dump valve to my car as i think it was startin to give me maf issues.. how ever in doing so then pops n bangs that were mapped in appear to have stopped. (They were mapped in when the vta orignally was fitted.)

The car also trys to stall when i either rev or stop at round about. Im guessin a weak spring in the dv maybe not shuttin it enough ?

Does 'with no dump valve' mean running with it blanked off or with a normal recirc valve fitted?

What turbo are you running
