classic wrx engine out the bottom?

is it possible to drop the engine out the bottom? i am breaking a car for a friend and dont have a crane at the moment

Yes you can drop the lot ie suspension/box ect ect all in one go, but it will be easier for you to unbolt everything and 2 of you will be able to lift out the lump by hand (one on each head) they are not that heavy at all.
