Default what power on a 2L sti standard engine???

Hi all, im currently running 440bhp on my standard 05 sti engine, just wondering what bhp/torque and boost people are running before they seem to go bang as people were saying internals were good up to around 450bhp but some are running 500+.

I`d say you`re just about right, You could push it but it could end up costing you, You coud push it to 500 but then a few months down the line it could go pop, All you need to ask youself is ...Do you feel lucky?

Personally i wouldn't go much past 420-430 on standard internals but this is my opinion only on information gathered tho,
looking to go 400ish soon in my blob.

MyBlob is 429 bhp but running Wossner pistons, ACL bearings and Manley rods.

At 360 bhp it melted a hole in a piston, Luck of the draw....
