Default SQUEALING NOISE FROM NEW DISCS.

about 1 week ago, had new pads and grooved discs fitted to the front of my WRX Newage. 2005 model. purchased from Godspeed.

the pads have not had chance to bed in yet, as I have only covered about 50 miles.

when I come to slow down, just before it stops dead, I get a squeal noise.

why is that ? could it be due to it raining last couple of days and water hitting the discs/pads ??

i also had braided hoses fitted.

Ians reply: It is probably dust caused during the bedding in process , as per out
fitting instructions it takes 300 miles of normal driving to bed them
in.
It would also help if you apply copper slip grease where the pistons
touch the backs of the pads , and either end where they slide into the
calipers , squeeling is usually caused by pads vibrating , and the
copper slip dampens this down , it might also help by bending the
spring clips holding the pads tight in the calipers so they actually
out more tension on the pads
Hope this helps , any problems let me know
Cheers Ian
