Default Bugeye misfire when wet

I'm pretty sure I'm getting a very slight misfire when it's raining
I can only feel it when I'm plodding at around 30ish with very light throttle
Its the same as the misfire I reported with tesco 99 vs v power
I've not investigated yet , but my first thoughts are coil packs , I've got no under tray but even so I've not noticed it getting wet around the coil area , or could damp just have an affect ?
No codes btw
Any ideas ?

You beat me to the mapping one lol,

If it's only happening when its wet i would say you need to check every port of call that water can actually access mate,

Have you got a cone filter in the inner wing ?

Don't you dare start on mapping lol

Yeah have a cone filter but it's not really in range of water from the inner wing + I'm mafless so I wouldn't expect a few drops to affect owt really
I can't help but think its a coil issue , and doesn't show misfire codes because it's not severe enough ( I'm guessing on that )

Take it for a spin in the wet and check the inlet mate and make sure it's not hoovering any up, Barring that its a check of everything water can touch like NPS plug ect ect.

Happy hunting

ps, Cant you map around it

The NPS can cause a missfire mate so i would of thought if water can get in and cause a short then why not

There will be a whole host of things that could be wrong mate, I only mentioned one possibility (which it probly isnt) Good luck

I know what you mean ,could be owt , i hate little niggles like this . I would rather the problem get worse or the car break down so you know for sure what the problem is
I'll investigate , or pull it apart completely lol

As you say it only happens on light throttle I don't think it is a missfire due to dampness. On previous cars when a missfire occured it usually occured when the car was under load. On my scooby I had a coil pack go faulty and when driven lightly the car was mangeable but if I pressed the throttle it was a no go. Light throttle missfire sounds to me more likely to be a fuel issue. This used to happen on my cars with Carbs when on light throttle due to a blocked jet. On heavy throttle a different jet was used allowing full fuel delivery.
