Default Advice on fitting a rear roof spoiler ?

Hi guys
I have bought a roof spoiler to go on my bug but I'm after some advice prior to fitting as I know there is plenty of ways to mess it up .
I ve. bought it from eBay and the person who had it before just used self tappers to fit it to his but is this strong enough ?
Ideally i dont want to drill through the pillar and was gonna bond it and use Sikaflex which I used for my roof scoop but I think I'm gonna have to fix it using self tappers to support the spoiler until it sets , or is there a better way of fixing it ?
Also does anyone have any measurements I could have to make sure I'm fitting it in the correct place ?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated
Cheers

if it was me id make a template of the footprint of the spoiler and put that into position on the roof . much easier to move around to get right and just keep measuring till in right position,i think 3m do a heavy duty double sided tape to attach the spoiler but you got to make sure the position is correct and grease free to allow proper adhesion . im sure someone will come along and give more help than i

yes got it fitted in the end, i found my own way to fit it and it worked just fine. i got a big ball of blue tack on each side support, centrally lined it up and pushed on hard to get a hold while i marked the drill holes. i then bonded with sikaflex (from screwfix) and screwed on with some self tappers.
job done !!

i cant believe people bond on such a large item, imagine the damage it will do if it comes off at speed.

rivnuts are and easy safe way of attaching and i believe this is what they use at the factory.

on another note could you stick more tat to your roof??

Genuine item looks nice, Other looks toss.... Why do people buy cheap stick on parts and cover them in stickers?
