Default Air / oil separator and catch tanks.

Just been reading some articles about boxer engines and tuning whilst keeping reliable. Seen some stuff about air / oil separators beimg recomended on all boxer engines, as this reduces chance of det and prolongs engine life. Can anyone clarify this?

Where can i buy them?

Also catch tanks, worth fitting?

My cars a uk turbo my 00

Thanks all.

Stops oil getting put back into the intake, which causes det, so by using a catch can it should help with this

Ok, so all hoses leading to the intake pipe, block the intake pipe and
Ead the, to a catch instead! Easy as that? Thanks

Catch can is cheaper alternative,I would go with Baffled catch can with 3 ports, not with those which have only 2 ports(they're useless)
