Hi people I have a my95 wrx turbo
Anyway been having a few problems over last few days
We're the battery will die over night and needs to be jump started,anyway
It has got worse as to when I switch it of the car won't start it's like a dead battery, was a new battery a year ago, anyway if the cars running then it runs fine but as soon as I touch say the lights or stereo tho revs start going up and down until eventually it stalls then to restart I have to get the jumper pack on it,
Any idea as to weather it's the battery or the alternator, the alternator does sound like it's whinein not a slipping belt but a whining from inside the alternator itself kind regards ben

Get the alternator voltage rate checked with a meter should be 14 ish volts.

Battery my money's on, wouldn't say alternator as when its jump started it runs fine you say? So that means its generating enough power to run the car, one way to check is start the car and disconnect the earth cable from it and see if it still runs, if it does your problem is not the alternator, given the time of year and how cold it is it can easily kill off weak battery's especially If its been on the car a while, and now where its been jump started over and over your just killing off the cells of the battery

Quick update took the battery to the shop today and guy said it was low as it was only 75amp running through but could be the fact that the battery is dead so was told to charge it up over night and take it back to retest it again,
