Default Large intercooler, clutch master problem

Hi I've got a uk 2000 and have just got a large intercooler but the clutch master cylinder gets in the way, I've seen the bugeye clutch master cylinder has a remote fluid res in stead of the one on top of the master cyclinder like mine, the question Is will a bugeye master cylinder fit my uk 2000 or does any one have any there ways of sorting my problem ?
Thanks Neil

Hi Neil,

I've just fitted a STi8 intercooler on to my uk2000 MY99. The best thing to do is get the 2001 on Master cylinder. It fits straight on. If you want to re use the heat shield you will have to trim it. You will need to bend the metal clutch pipe to suit, but it's easy. The newer master cylinder has two holes as opposed to one on the Classic. Just use the one on the end, ignore the one on the side and the bleed nipple (they are now redundant on the Classic).
If you are unsure or stuck I could send you some pics or give more advise.

Good luck, it's not a 5 min job

Kind regards,
Ralph
