Default octane and boost questions

hey guys i'm new here i need some help

I have a 2003 subaru sti ej207, in my country i can only get 93 unleaded fuel, is it ok if i use this fuel? I'm trying to import fuel from another country but max that i can get will be 95 unleaded

I installed a boost gauge its reading 1.3 bar something like 19psi is this correct?"

Your best bet would be to use the best fuel you can octane rating wise, and buy octane booster from the internet/ebay. That way you can add it to your tank, and the octane rating will be increased.

95 octane fuel with octane booster should be more than enough for the car, or you could get it remapped to run on the lower octane fuel, but performance will suffer. What spec is the engine? 19psi seems quite high for a standard STI. Plus importing fuel would cost a huge amount surely?!

Best bet is to have it mapped for easier obtainable fuel.

Agree with this You will see a small drop in power but at least it will be safe

at the moment i have a friend who gave me torco octane booster but over here its hard to get i only have 2 bottles , now i ordered 95 octane unleaded petrol from south africa it's going to be quite expensive so i won't have more money to spend on octane boosters.

i don't now wich pec it is i just know its a 2003 Subaru sti after the bugg eyes model 2.0 liter 6 speed chassis ej207, i think this boost is quite a lot for this car at the moment i have HKS exhaust down pipe blitz dump valve and hks spark plugs that the old owner did before sealing it.

Just to add the car was mapped with 95 fuel, and in Maputo the highiest octane fuel is 93.
