Default Oil change and filter

When changing the oil and filter shd you fill the filter up with oil befor fitting ?

Yes standard mate
A lot of people dnt do this but I think it's important

Yep - always. It's made easier by the fact the filter sits horizontally so no oil will be lost by having to fit on an angle etc like on some engines.

After replacing filter and oil and before starting engine.
Remove crank shaft sensor plug, so that engine will not fire.
Then crank engine over until oil light goes out, can take quite a while.
Then replace crank shaft sensor plug and start engine, check for any leaks.

fill filter to the brim and let it soak in for a while and repeat until takes no more then a smere round the seal so you get a good seal when re-fitting, have never removed crankshaft sensor myself and never had any issues but i am not saying dont do it, this has been covered countless times in great length, if you do a search

Use good oil(millers or similar) and genuine filter or second best adl blueprint.

All done millers 10/50 and new filter ;-)
