Most will say you must use the mega expensive DEI stuff but the cheap stuff I got from eBay has been absolutely fine and can touch the downpipe (not for long) when the engine is running.

I'd only buy DEI after having to do my headers again after using cheap EBAY stuff the first time. It lasted 6 months the went brittle & disintegrated. Instead of ties get a role of lock wire & proper lockwire pliers, this method is cheaper & lasts better than the ties. The master of wraping Harvey gave me this advice & as always has proved to be well worth following.
