Default advice please

hi, i have a 95 wrx import and i think ive gone and done in the engine??
i was travelling along about 80mph and put foot down only the power was gone, felt like the clutch was slipping, then engine stalled, as i slowed down to 30ish the engine started again, but the engine is sounding like a tractor now, a very loud rattling/chapping noise. does anyone know what could be wrong????
much appreciated

Might not be the engine, if it felt like a slipping clutch then the clutch may have broke up and the rattling is bits of the clutch and bearing
