Default TD05 vs VF28 turbo...

Well to start with the TD05 16g is a sleeve bearing turbo, the vf28 is a roller bearing (low friction) turbo and its slightly smaller giving much better response.

straight swap YES, performance vf28 320-330 ish bhp ., tdo516g 330-350ish bhp , the vf will spool quicker but the td will have more mid and top end.

its a 1995 wrx with a td05 but idiot i got it off put a fmic, z4 ecu but no DV or yellow injectors, so from 'stalling' the turbos on its way out! the cars only a cheapy so dosent massively matter.... but need to fit yellow injectors (so iv been told for the z4) and a dv(done), but looking to change the turbo too as its starting to lag badly...??? uprated the fuel pump now too and done cam belt all the oils etc...

You cant just swap injectors and turbos ***** nilly, you need to find out what it should be running and replace with that ect, any fmic, bigger injectors, turbos ect will all need setting up ie mapping

righto so just leave as is and change turbo like for like it is
