Default Engine light on.

Hey guys.

Ever since the exhaust got changed the engine management light has been on.

For some reason i keep thinking its something to do with a sensor and exhaust being changed to 3" one but i thought best to ask here.

The motor is a 2002 Bugeye wrx

This a common thing? if so what have i missed and needs done.. heh.

Cheers
- Chris.

From what ive read on here you only need a remap to get the best out of decating the exhaust system https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...-question.html you could follow the steps on JGM site to reset your ecu http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/ecu.asp.htm

Yeah just asked my oldman (person i bought car from) if it was de-cat'd when exhaust was fitted and it was.

Guess its a re-map at some point then to sort it out and stop the engine management light coming on.

Its had new exhaust and panel filter.. anything else simple/not expensive i should do before the re-map?

Also am guessing a remap should up the power a bit? not sure by how much tho?

Yep been speaking to andy forest and looking at his website.

Will sort out getting a few bits and bobs fitted before hand then see about getting him to remap it.
