Default Advice on this scooby

Hi Guys, my mate had won this scooby off ebay :

What advice would you give him when going to look at it? and what questions to ask the dealer?.
I have gave him some pointers but your guys imput would be appreciated

Going to look at it? Surely he's going to pay for it since he 'won' the auction.

I'd check the clutch doesn't slip though - Think I replaced mine around then. And you'd need to see when a cambelt is due - but really should have been done before 'winning'

Agree, op you won it, you buy it no matter what's wrong with it, it's your own fault for not looking prior.
You will just come under the category like the rest of the timewasters out there who do the same, boils my pi55 when folk do that!

I friggin' hate people who buy cars on ebay with the intention of going to view or haggle... such timewasters!!! you guys dont realise the grief and hassle it causes. Bid on it to buy it, not to view it!

Ebay should ban people like you.

Agreed but if the car doesn't state head gasket gone and then I roll up to find oil in the water etc then sorry I'm not paying for lies....

Do classics have drums ? I thought they were discs all round MEGA valet though

thats fair enough. print off the advert and check everything is as described

works both ways guys, some sellers list things as being mint when really they're sheds

Hence why you are supposed to go view the car before buying on eBay.
Same as you go view a car advertised on pistonheads, you dont pay over the phone then turn up and try haggle some money back ?
