Default Defi problem

Hi all,
I have Defi BF gauges & am trying to add two used gauges to my set which I purchased off here. The problem is that the sensor plugs on the used gauges won't go into my controller. They have the same number of pins but different shape plug. Can I make them fit or have I got the wrong gauges?
Thanks, Richard.

As far as i know all the defi cables that go into the controller are the same, unless there is a difference between the version 1 & 2 but i`m no so sure, If they are BF`s they should definately fit, Are they original/genuine ones as there are a lot of copies/fakes about?

My original set are definitely genuine bought new from indigo. The 2 used ones look genuine but I'm no expert. There are the same amount of wires but they are different colours & plugs are a different fitting. Not sure wether to try & Bodge the connectors or am I wasting my time?

Have a read here, look at the back of the gauges and make sure they have the correct amount of connector slots,

On the rear of the Defi Link controller are dedicated sockets for different gauges. you aren't trying to plug them into any old holes are you? They are colour coded too.

None of the cables will plug in neither the sensors nor the gauges to the controller. The number of wires are correct but the colours are in a different order & the plugs the wrong shape, and Jeff, I'm using the correct sockets as they are labeled on my controller, but the EGT plug is also the wrong colour. My controller & gauges are only a year old, I think the used pair of gauges I bought are either older Defis or fakes.

Which controller? I think I've seen somewhere that the newer controller isn't compatible.

Mine is the new controller 1 year old. Looked at the info on fakes & although mine look genuine they do have the peek light like the fake ones, but the used ones I bought do too,is this correct or have I been screwed?

Ahh, So you have the new Defi Advance controller and gauges, If so the Older Defi BF's that worked with the controller 1 & 2 won't be compatible

On the upside what gauges do you have to sell and what colour

Oh looks like I screwed up, I'll have to buy the later ones now. I have exhaust gas temp & fuel pressure if anyone is interested, with sensors & wires white illumination.

Already got fuel pressure and swapped my EGT out for an Innovate AFR so no good to me but pretty sure they will sell, The Fuel pressure especially so you can make use of the differential fuel pressure if you have a boost gauge as it shows static fuel pressure even through boost so you know if you fuel pressure is dropping higher up into boost/revs, A great little bonus IMO
