Default Version 3 STi questions

I own a v3 sti
Its completely stock.
What kind of petrol do u recommend?
Can it be mapped?
What boost is it running standard?

v power, also can be mapped plenty of choices of ecu, esl, apexi, simtek etc. i think standard boost is 0.9 bar but maybe 1.1 on an sti. someone with superior knowledge will be along shortly.

As above and standard boost is 1.1bar

Am i right in saying the original ECU is the same as the V4 and can't be mapped? I think you'll need a mappable ECU like apexi or simtec etc...

You can now map the standard ecus on the v3/4 using the ESL daughterboard fella

I really didn't know that. Thank you. Any ideas how much and what they possibilities are? Are the likes of JGM working on them?

interesting read that
are version 2 ecu interchangeble with the later version sti import or will i be looking at apexi and the like?

aha awesome, that remap price i presume its another board they add to original ecu?
is it a case of new board everytime i add bits and need remap??

Yes a daughter board, which can be mapped everytime you make a change. No need for anymore new boards
