Thumbs up

Yup.
It's a little quieter on a decatted system than the WRsport oval box but it still makes for a good noise under power I also prefer the round pipe, which is why I got one and sold my WR.
Performance wise, no idea.
You can pick them up occasionally in For Sale for about £150 - £200 depending on age/condition.

It is restrictive, but it is the only one I could live with on a decat system.

When you say it is restrictive do you mean it isn't as good as the best on power,or it's worse than standard ?

It is way better than standard, but makes a whoosing sound (some say like an F15 ) under high load which is the hallmark of a restrictive exhaust. I quite like the sound, and it does come alive when you boot it. I am running quite a lot of airflow, so on my car it probably is restricting it more than some others. However, it makes a decat system on my car quieter than many cars with just a backbox, so overall I gain for my tolerated noise level - otherwise I might need to put the OEM downpipe back on and that is a truly evil creation like the original uppipe which is simply horrendous.

Will a Subaru dealer sell you one of those (i.e. round pipe) as my dealer offered me a WR Sport oval one. I prefer the round. Is it compatible for a non PPP car ?

A dealer won't sell you a round one as they only come as part of the PPP. The oval WR jobber is the only one you can officially get through a dealer.
Like I said, keep an eye on the For Sale section: that's where I got mine from.

Wink

I'm sure it does something performance-wise but I've no idea what. At the least the sound makes you feel like you're going faster

In all honestly it is probably much much less than 5-7 BHP. Maybe a downpipe might give you that. I am being a little conservative perhaps

I think I'd go as far as saying there's no actual extra power (as in peak), but what there is (or rather was) is there for longer - the 'power band' is wider so overall you get more go out of it.

I'm obviously having one of my not-so-clear days, so I think I'll get my coat...

Look at this power run.
The PPP kit also includes a modified STi ECU, and an ST15/P1 decatted centre section and Intercooler piping, as well as the back box you fancy.
The run shows a car with out the ECU but the mechanical bits in place.

IMHO, you'll only notice backbox restriction differences once you've decatted the downpipe....only then does it become the biggest restriction (I can't tell the difference between a catted centre and resonated centre on my car).
