Default td05-16g conversion to 20g

I'm building a 2.5 hybrid and fancy upgrading my turbo. I've seen all the comments about crappy ebay turbos but are the kits to upgrade bad too? What are the parts on the ebay turbos that make them bad? I've got 2 td05s and I fancy rebuilding and doing the upgrade, will still get it balanced...
I guess my other option is an AFP or one of the other respected UK sources but my budget is being stretched with the longblock and I'd rather get the remap done with my final build parts rather than interim parts..
Cheers, Rich

the only parts/upgrade kit I would use is kamak/kando dynamic , they seem good quality have just converted a 16g using there kit and have done before with good results

also they are not a direct fit , you will have to machine the center housing to accept the larger compressor wheel ,

hope this helps

I was thinking of the upgraded housing to go with the bigger compressor wheel. It was actually your advert that got me thinking about it!

there's no benefit with using a new center housing , as when you machine a standard 16g housing you end up with the exact same thing ,

( if you want , I can machine housing for you)

Sorry, should have said the bigger compressor housing, like this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kinugawa-T...item1e70dab520

I didn't think there was any need to change the centre housing for this? I've watched some videos of youtube and it seems simple enough, just wasn't sure on the quality. I guess there's also the question of any porting that could be done to help while it's all stripped...

if the turbo's you have are small td05 16g (as fitted to early jdm wrx/sti) then you will need to machine the center housing ,
